A tribute to Larry Snyder 1940-2007

This is the toughest post I have ever written. It is very hard to pull myself together and crystallize your thoughts as feeling void seems to be rather draining...

Larry Snyder, the hidden force behind the Midnight Coders success, wide product adoption, growing popularity and rise in sales, passed away on August 18, 2007. I knew Larry from two jobs back and ran into him early last year. We talked about Midnight Coders, my vision for the product and the opportunities the company has. Larry came on board and shared much of the vision and passion for the company. He had a unique ability to see the upside and brighten the day even when things were taking the down turns. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a very kind, honest and dependable friend with the utmost passion for life and success of TMC. I am very grateful for the opportunity to know and work with Larry.

My deepest sympathies go out to Larry's friends and family. It is simply amazing how fickle life can be at times. It was only one week ago today that I finally got to meet Larry for the first time at 360Flex in Seattle and see his spark and enthusiasm first hand. I am so very glad we were all able to head out for some dinner and laughs (many due to Larry) after a long day of presentations. I’m sure Larry will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mark, you and Larry's family and friends have my deepest sympathy. Wow. As others who posted here, 360Flex was my first opportunity to meet Larry in person. After meeting him, I too saw his enthusiasm and vivacity in only a couple short conversations. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Larry's family as you process through this difficult time.

"Big Larry" will always live on in our hearts. I call him "Big Larry" because I asked him, "Do they do anything small in Texas, Larry?" He said, "Nope, they sure don't."

His smiles and warm friendly attitude helped make 360|Flex Seattle so great. I'll miss him, but am glad I got a few laughs in with him.

Add me to the list of people who only spent a short amount of time with Larry at 360|Flex but was immediately struck by his outgoing and friendly nature. Someone so genuine and kind will surely be missed dearly by those that were close to him. Best wishes to everyone affected by his sudden and tragic passing.

I only knew Larry for a few days as we shared expo space at 360Flex. His sense of humor, his spirit of fun... this is terribly sad news.

It also tells us how fragile life can be... Hopefully he is riding a horse up in that big ole sky...

RIP Larry!! Stephen / Web Spiders.

PS: I sent some photos from the 360Flex, if you wish to post some - please go ahead.

Larry was a Brother in the Lord, a genuine friend and an entrepreneurial mentor of mine.

I will miss him, always.

Larry's joy and peace came from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was a man, saved by Faith. He would want you to know that. And, you can be sure, that if YOU have not trusted in Christ as Your Savior... Larry is praying for you (even now). :-)

I will see you again, brother. But not yet... not yet.

I met Larry soon after his mid-year transfer to Los Altos High. He was immediately liked by all of us in the Class of "58 for his winning ways and cheerful smile. He was a star on the high school swimming team that won the conference championship that year.
He was also a natural leader who always saw the best in others. Many of our class mates (myself included) wanted to be like him.

Larry knew who he was at an early age. I am sure many of us saw the Lord working in his life even when we were too young to understand.

I met Larry at the recent 360 Flex conference. He struck me as an amazing man with a heart as big as Texas and a smile and charm to match. We instantly bonded over our love for horses. He will be missed by those close to him as well as those he touched in his day to day life. My condolences to his family and friends.
